About NeighborScore
NeighborScore aggregates publicly available government data into clear, comparable scores for every US neighborhood. We believe people deserve objective, data-backed information when making one of life's biggest decisions.
Our scores are derived entirely from public sources: the FBI Crime Data Explorer, the National Center for Education Statistics, Zillow Research, and the US Census Bureau. We do not collect personal data, and we do not sell it.
The NeighborScore composite (0–100) weights crime rate (40%), school quality (35%), and relative property value (25%). Each dimension is normalized to the city or metro area, so scores are always relative comparisons — not absolute measures.
NeighborScore is a research tool. Scores are for informational purposes only and should not be the sole basis for any real estate, financial, or personal decision. Always consult licensed professionals.
